Trails from the door, and the wild north beyond
Mountain bike routes, river walks, canyons and the Peneda-Gerês national park on the doorstep. A base for everyone who'd rather be out in it — with secure storage, big breakfasts and somewhere to dry the kit.
Out at dawn, into the hills, back to the pool
This corner of Portugal is made for the active: singletrack and gravel through the hills, water-walks up the Rio Peio, canyoning in the gorges, and the Gerês mountains a short drive away. Ride or hike all day, then come home to a pool and a cold drink.
We're set up for it — secure bike storage, a place to wash and dry gear, early breakfasts and packed lunches on request, and guides who know every trail and river around.
What you're probably wondering, as an explorer
Yes — we can store bikes securely overnight and give you a place to wash off the mud and dry your kit, so you start each day fresh.
Everything from gentle valley tracks to proper mountain singletrack, plus gravel and road routes through the hills. The countryside rolls straight from the farm, and Peneda-Gerês is about 40 km away.
Of course — tell us your start time and we'll have breakfast ready early, with packed lunches on request so you can stay out as long as the light lasts.
Guided water-walks up the rivers, the levadas and old water mills, canyoning and rafting with our partners, birdsong and dark skies. It's a naturalist's and an adrenaline-seeker's place at once.
Yes — there's charging on site for cars, and we can sort charging for e-bikes too. Just let us know what you're bringing.
Canyons, rivers and a national park next door
Beyond the farm tracks lies some of Portugal's most dramatic country: the gorges and rapids of the Tâmega, the levadas and water mills of Basto, and the peaks of Peneda-Gerês. Our partners run it all — you just have to show up ready.
