Several of our houses happily welcome well-behaved dogs, generally those with easy garden access. Tell us your dates and your dog, and we'll match you to the right one.
A small cleaning consideration may apply, and we'll share a few simple house rules. Mostly it comes down to common sense — and keeping a respectful distance from the farm animals.
We have a working herd and a coop, so dogs need to be under control around them. There's still endless space to roam where the animals aren't — we'll show you the lay of the land.
Straight from the door: farm tracks, forest trails, and the Rio Peio nearby for a river romp. The whole Basto countryside is a paradise for dogs and their people.
Water and food bowls and a comfy spot can be arranged — let us know what your dog likes and we'll do our best to have it ready.
Fields to tear across, a river to splash in
While you walk the levadas and the old water mills, your dog does what dogs were built for — nose down, tail up, miles of countryside in every direction, a cool river at the end of it. They'll sleep very well.
